Muriel Church's 90th Birthday Bash

What a lady!  Look at that picture, no way she looks 90.  Then you see her great grandchildren in action bringing you birthday cake with ice cream and cleaning it up, you see the pictures of her and dear Walter serving in the temple 20 years, her missionary pictures, her family pictures, ... and you concede she has the full life to match her years.  We should all live life this well!

Muriel had a wonderful turnout for her birthday party this afternoon.  I felt blessed to have been invited!

PS - Doesn't Willyne look great too!

My friend and I walked 0.44 miles in 12 minutes on a flat surface on Day 8. Series 2 total is 3.12 miles in 1 hour 28 minutes.

A little more on Miss Potter from last night.  The movie has been out 4 years, so it's not news, but it was new to me.  Thank goodness for movies on DVD -- and for Willyne being part of Marsha Nielson's movie club ...

I think what made Beatrix Potter's books, "The Tale of Peter Rabbit" and the rest, endearing were the illustrations.  Full of color and life.  The story seemed to follow the pictures rather than the other way around.  So now 50 years later I hear the story of Miss Potter and the books come alive for me all over again.  Her life is a wonderful story, and the English countryside is a big plus too.  If you haven't seen it, get the DVD!
