Be Prepared To Run The Bases

Today's scriptures:

"But the end of all things is at hand: be ye therefore sober, and^bwatch unto prayer.

"And above all things have fervent charity among yourselves:^afor       ^bcharity shall cover the multitude of sins.

"Use ^ahospitality one to another without ^bgrudging."

"And then shall my ^arevelations which I have caused to be written by my servant John be unfolded in the eyes of all the people. Remember, when ye see these things, ye shall know that the time is at hand that they shall be made manifest in very deed. ...

"And blessed is he that is found ^afaithful unto my name at the last   day, for he shall be ^blifted up to dwell in the kingdom prepared  for him ^cfrom the foundation of the world. And behold it is I that hath spoken it. Amen."

These verses tells me several things:  One of the signs of the times will be a general understanding of the revelations of John.  One of the Heavenly messengers who came to Moroni at the least made him aware of the revelations of John. And our quest to "be perfect even as our Father in  Heaven is perfect" should be viewed as an opportunity to cheerfully persist (endure) to the end in our efforts to be like Him ... so that we will be found faithful at the last day.  Very encouraging to me.
