The Greatest Teaching is done by ...

Today's especially profound thought, from reading in Alma 58, Romans 2, and much more ...
"“The priesthood sometimes prides itself with having the power to do the teaching. They don’t come near the power that’s given to a mother. The greatest teaching in the Church is done by the mothers.""
—Boyd K. Packer, "Teaching in the Church"

After watching President Monson speak so tenderly to the sisters last night, this thought from President Packer seems all the more accurate and timely ...

Don't have any pictures, because it was at a Sacrament Meeting, but it was absolutely wonderful to see and especially to feel the excitement from Riley, Kate, and Ethan at their Primary program today.  What a treat!!!

Exactness

Thought for today, from reading in Alma 57 and Romans 1

"And as the remainder of our army were about to give way before the Lamanites, behold, those two thousand and sixty were firm and        undaunted.
"Yea, and they did aobey and observe to perform every word of
command with exactness; yea, and even according to their faith it
was done unto them; and did remember the words which they
said unto me that  their bmothers had taught them.
                                     -- Alma 57:20-21

I love how these young men had exceeding faith because of the teachings and example of their mother, and that they were blessed by following all instructions with exactness.

We Do Not Doubt Our Mothers Knew It

Thought for today, from reading in Alma 56 and Acts 28 ...

"Now they never had fought, yet they did not fear
death; and they did think more upon the aliberty of
their bfathers than they did upon their lives; yea,
they had been taught by their cmothersthat if
they did not doubt, God would deliver them.
"And they rehearsed unto me the words of their
amotherssaying: We bdo not doubt our mothers
knew it."                           -- Alma 56:47-48
The greatest power in the history of the world has been the example, influence, and teaching of a mother.
