I have two new assistant ward clerks working with me, Brother Tullis (finance) and Brother Stevens (membership). I am cross-training them to back each other up, which I am hoping will let me focus more on keeping leadership meeting minutes and the statistical and historical clerk duties. So when Brother Tullis was excused today from helping the bishopric process donations, instead of simply covering for him, I used it as an opportunity to train Brother Stevens. It went well, and I'm smiling!
There is a big emphasis on doing family history and temple work in our stake this year. The 4th Ward had this poster up in both foyers of the building today, it caught my eye:
