Danielle and Becca were surprised when I casually mentioned . . .
that I went to a Carpenters concert as a BYU student in the Marriott Center. "This is the sort of thing you should tell . . . how did I live twenty-four years and not know this !?!"
We all had a lot of fun with this, and I think the picture is classic!
Now I'm wondering what else I might have forgotten to say . . .
maybe that I and my whole Priests quorum sweltered in the heat of stage lights and panty hose doing a "singing grandmothers" number in a road show directed by Glen A. Larson (go look him up in wikipedia)
but I'll bet you already knew that (which would reestablish my feeling I really have told all my stories)
Thanks to Benjamin we now have a theme picture! Thanks to Josh for inspiring me to move up to being a passionately smiling tortoise with his inspirational essays in his blog http://lionforaday.blogspot.com.
